At Hickory Springs Farm we are proud to use Annamaet dog food as our standard diet. Annamaet is an all natural, vitamin fortified kibble that contains no animal by-products. Annamaet is our food of choice for all of the reasons listed below, but most especially because the kibble is small and does not expand exponentially when wet like many dog foods. - Annamaet is a chicken-based dry dogfood made only with top quality chicken and other natural ingredients.
- Annamaet is palatable and easy to digest.
- Annamaet is fortified with specially-coated vitamin C which is important for dogs because their bodies synthesize it at lower rates than other animals.
- Annamaet is fortified with methionine, an essential amino acid that is often destroyed in heat processing. The addition of methionine increases protein utilization and the synthesis of antibodies.
- Annamaet contains Proteinated (Chelated) Minerals which increases their utilization, strengthens the immune system and can increase litter sizes among dogs.
- Annamaet contains no animal or chicken by-products, soy products, chemical preservatives, dyes or artificial flavors.
- Annamaet meets the nutritional requirements for all stages of a dog’s life, as substantiated by feeding trials run in accordance with the procedures established by the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO).
